Winter is coming!
My fingers are snap-frozen by the sudden plunge to the teens on the Celsius scale. I am sure a lot of Canadians are frowning at that comment about temperature, but their frowns look like amused smiles, so it is all OK with us.

Friday 19 May 2017 – Brett Whiteley studio
We all indulge a little too much over winter. If you want to indulge your mind rather than your body on a Friday night… maybe just once? West of the Divide is the latest exhibition showing at the Brett Whiteley studio. This exhibition and showcases works about the land west of Sydney and celebrates nature that is often disregarded by urban dwellers.

Saturday 20 May 2017 – Pyrmont Festival
When you stir together food, wine and art, you get the Pyrmont Festival. This family friendly event showcases food and drinks from the Mudgee region, and live music, local artists, and other entertainment.
There are about 100 stalls where you can try out wine and food, and with five taster tickets at $15, there is no reason not to try to your heart’s content!

Sunday 21 May 2017 – Urban Hunt
You could go back to the Pyrmont Festival for a second day, but then you might miss out on the second last weekend of this urban scavenger hunt!

We were very sad to learn that Newtown Social Club closed in April, but for music lovers, you can still find great gigs around town.
